Animation movie
An animation is a series of still images, that are drawn individually and then photographed. These images are then shown one after the other in rapid succession. Because our eyes can't follow the speed of the succession, they interprete the successing images as one smooth moving image, which is actually an illusion. A good example of animation is 'Daisy and Drago', an animation created by two Turkish school teachers and their pupils.
Note: stop-motion animation is a different kind of an animation as it is created by physically manipulating real-world objects and photographing them one frame of film at a time to create the illusion of movement. This is often done with clay figurines and a famous example is Tim Burton's stop-motion movie 'Corpse Bride' or this movie created by a Maltese school teacher and her pupils: 'Five little ducks'.
