The advantages are obvious: a videotape or DVD can be easily stored and classified, most people nowadays own a DVD player that is connected to the big screen of their TV. The quality of your video will also be so much better on a DVD than on the Internet because the video does not have to be as compressed.
Why would you publish on the Internet?
Publishing your video through streaming also has its advantages. People anywhere in the world (with Internet access) can view the movie without needing an offline copy. On the other hand, it cannot be saved to their computer and the quality varies depending on the speed of your Internet connection.
