WatchKnow Launches with over 10,000 Educational Video Clips

After quite some development time, the much heralded WatchKnow video service for educationalists was launched on 21st October.
The site currently offers 10,000 videos placed in over 2,000 categories, arranged in a very handy directory. The US State of Indiana, Comcast Corp., and Discovery Education have recently teamed up to provide students with free on-demand digital resources aligned with state standards.

JISC Digital Media in the UK is a service which provides advice, guidance and training on the creation and use of digital media resources.
The Digital Media service is offered to the UK's Further and Higher Education community and covers creating digital media resources (specifically still images, moving images and sound resources), delivering digital media resources to users, using digital media resources to support teaching, learning and research and managing both small and large scale digitisation projects.

International Council for Educational Media (ICEM) have announced further details of their annual conference being held this year in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates from October 6-8, 2009.

Europeana provides access to millions of digitized items from European museums,libraries, archives and multi-media collections and is growing everyday.
Originally proposed in 2005 by a number of European presidents as a way to ensure that Europe’s cultural and scientific heritage took its rightful place among the information resources of the digital world, the prototype for this digital library already links to 4.2 million digital objects from more than 1000 organisations. Viducate is a European network exploring video production in the area of education supported by the European Commission.
