Music/Sound Games: Pitch
This video clip provides insight into what pitch is in music by using simple examples. It includes a demonstration of different games, during which students develop their skills and learn to distinguish between sounds of different pitch. At the end of the clip there are more interactive games for non participanting students who take part in the audience. The clip can also be used as an introduction to understanding pitch and melody, to developing skills in observing and reproducing vocal sounds with singing and in predicting and assessing different music themes.
