Television archives to be made available to European Schools

The recently launched EUscreen initiative is planning to make available an interoperable digitised collection of television material made up of archive resources from partners including broadcasters in 19 European countries.
EUscreen is a European Project supported under the eContentPlus programme and is working closely with the Europeana portal, through which these archive materials will be offered. One of the core groups of users identified by the project team is the educational community. By the end of the project, more than 35,000 items including videos, articles and photographs will be made available.
